Settings

Settings is the area were the default settings are set. There are 5 settings that are necessary to set for the proper operation of the sheet.

To access the default settings area, click "Show Defaults." The following portion of the screen will appear:

This segment shows the current default settings. The settings are described as follows:

Bank Start: This is the starting bankroll. The amount here will show up in “Bank Start” in the main grid. The original default is set to $1,000.00. The Bank Start option will be discussed in greater detail in the operation section.

Max Bet Amt: This is the maximum bet amount that the bettor has set for any single bet. If the system calculates that you can make a bet larger than this amount, the actual bet will actually adjust to the maximum bet amount.

Odds Default: This is the default odds, in American format, that each straight bet will show in the Event Entry box. When a bet is made, the bettor can change the odds to the appropriate odds for that event.

Unit Default: This is the default amount of units that will show when the bettor makes his bet in the Event Entry box. When a bet is made, the bettor can change the number of units according to the appropriate amount for the event.

Outlay percentage: Generally, one should not have too much of the bankroll at risk to maintain good betting discipline. If the cumulative amount of active bets (or oulay) exceeds the percentage of the current bankroll amount, a warning will occur before the bet is made.

Amount / Unit or Bet Pct / Unit: This is the method of how a bet amount is determined.

  • If Amount / Unit is selected, then the amount entered into the text box will equal the amount of one unit, no matter the current balance of the bankroll. If $10.00 is entered, than when a bet is entered, the amount of the bets equals the unit amount times the amount per unit.
  • If Bet Pct / Unit is selected, then the percentage entered in the text box will correspond to the percentage of the current bankroll amount, per unit. If 1% is entered, when a bet is entered, then the amount of a bet would be 1% times the bet unit, then use that figure to calculate the percentage of the current bankroll.

To change the default settings, click "Set Defaults." The following window will appear:
